Paksha the Peacock

$ 5.00

US English pattern by Janine Holmes at Moji-Moji Design. Includes step-by-step pictures.

Deep, jewel like colours and an obsessive fondness for preening make Paksha one of the finest sights at the palace. With his showy display of tail feathers and dashing good looks, Paksha has all the peahens running around after him. You might think that all this attention would go straight to his head, but Paksha isn't at all conceited and his feet are always firmly planted on the ground.

Instructions are included for making the peacock feather bunting too.

When using light worsted weight (DK/8 ply) yarn and a 3mm hook, peacock measures approx. 6" (15 cm) tall.

Suggested safety eye size - 9 mm.

This pattern is written in American crochet terminology and includes a handy stitch conversion chart so you can translate to British crochet terms instead should you wish to.

Stitches used: chain, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, back loops only, front loops only, triple crochet
