Round 19

So, I have completed all of round 19 except for this part, "Mark the front loop of the second chain stitch on round 19.." I'm not sure which one I am supposed to be marking. Is it the second chain in the chains? Or what? I'm confused. What loop?

Hi,
I think you're referring to Rnd 19 of the head?

Rnd 19: sc to the marker, ch 30, sc into the marked stitch, being careful not to twist the chain, discard the marker, sc in all remaining st [54 + 30 ch] Mark the front loop of the second chain stitch on round 19 with a stitch marker. This will show you where to start on the neck later.

In Rnd 19 you've made 30 chains, you add a stitch marker in the second ch you made. A chain stitch has two loops, you can simply put your stitch marker in the center of the chain stitch, but remember to make your stitch in the front loop later.

I hope this helps!

This remains to be unclear to me.

how I am reading the reply, round 20 should start at the base of the 30 chains.

Should I sc until the chain and the BLO sc in the chain for 30?

note:the green clip is the start of round 19 and where 20 would start.

thanks for the insight.

Hi Crochetingkitten,

As you work sc stitches in all remaining stitches on the head in round 19, you will end up at the base of the chain again in round 20. You then work the BLO sc in the 30 ch indeed.

I hope this helps.
