Round 20 of the Head

The pattern states to BLO sc in the next 30 ch then sc in both loops of all remaining st. The problem is I don't have chains at the beginning of this round, they are at the end.  I have the head st in the beginning. Do I turn and work backwards on the chain first or can I flip flop the instructions? Or did I royally mess up somewhere?

Hi!

I believe you're referring to this part:

Rnd 19: sc to the marker, ch 30, sc into the marked stitch, being careful not to twist the chain, discard the marker, sc in all remaining st [54 + 30 ch]
Mark the front loop of the second chain stitch on round 19 with a stitch marker. This will show you where to start on the neck later.
Rnd 20: BLO sc in next 30 ch, sc in both loops of all remaining st [84]

I think i see what went wrong for you in round 19. You have read "sc in all remaining st" and have worked sc in the chains as well, right? We should indeed make this more clear, as you only work sc in the 53 remaining stitches, not the chains.
Then, in round 20, you will be right in front of your chains, and you can work BLO sc in your chains.

I hope this works for you?
