Tail fins

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone had advice for the tail fins. I haven't worked a lot doing FP stitches. I get through the first two rows, but then I don't understand what to do. The reference pictures are good, but it's hard to visualize just by looking at them. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

Hi Tanglesandneedles, did you check the BP-FP instructions at the front of the book, as well as the video? These might help you a little in understanding this stitch?
www.stitch.show/BP-FP

Basically, you work all rows of the entire fin in the front loops instead of in the top 2 loops you normally work in. This way you get the ribs on the fins. In this case you work FPdc, which is front post double crochet (a double crochet stitch worked in the front post) and by working 2 or 3 in the same stitch, you increase and the fin widens.

I hope this helps?
