I dont understand row 2. I finished row 1 with 3 chains and then i need to make 5 hdc i Think those are made in the space of the 2 chains of row 1, is that correct? And that is why it says 5hdc in next ch -2- space?

I believe you're referring to this part:
Row 2: (5 hdc in next ch-2-space, sc in next ch-2-space)
repeat 2 times, (7 hdc in next ch-2-space, sc in next ch-2-
space) repeat 2 times 9, (9 hdc in next ch-2-space, sc in
next ch-2-space) repeat 3 times [61]
You've created two types of ch-spaces in the previous round; bigger and smaller ones.
In the bigger ones, you work 5 hdc, in the smaller ones, you work 1 sc (and so on).

Not the original poster but this explanation is much clearer. Thanks. I have the Dutch book and I had no clue what was meant with lossenboog. There seems to be no clear marking on when they begin and end but this pic is obvious.
